Moland to Cooper
Regd the 14th day of Feby 1723 at 12 clock att Noon
A Memorial of one indenture of lease bearing date and perfected the sixteenth day of December one thousand seven hundred and twelve made between Thomas Moland of the city of Dublin Gent of the one part and Samuel Cooper of the town of Catherlogh [Carlow] stone cutter of the other part whereby the said Thomas Moland did demise unto the said Samuel Cooper his heirs Exrs Admrs and Assigns for and during the term of ninety nine years commencing the twenty ninth day of September last past before the date thereof all that and those the house and garden which was lately in the possession of Jane Danks of Carlow aforesaid situate lying and being without Dublin Gate in the town of Carlow containing by estimation one acre plantation measure be the same more of less at and under the yearly rent of one peppercorn for the first year and at and under the yearly rent or sum of Four Pounds Sterg yearly and every year after during the said term payable by two gales half yearly on every twenty ninth day of September and twenty fifth day of March in which lease are contained the usual clauses of distraining and reentering with a Covt that the said Samuel Cooper his heirs Exrs Adms or Assigns shall within space of three years after the above date build a lime and stone slated house of Thirty pounds Sterg value at his and their oown proper cost in and upon the demised premisses that is to say on the spot where the above mentioned old house now stands which said lease contains likewise the usual clauses od doing suite & service at the courts leet & Mannor Courts of Catherlogh and Grinding at the mills of the sd mannor which said lease is witnessed by John Cooper late of Catherlogh Samuel Curtis Junr of the same and Edward Lalor of the same writing master and this memorial is witnessed by the said Edward Lalor and Tobias Moor of the same yeoman
